A well-respected figure in the UK foodservice industry, Nick’s most recent position was as Managing Director for one of the UK's biggest buying groups within the sector. Under his tenure, turnover increased from £165m to £524m, with the group annually supplying over 33,000 customers.

 

With over 20 years procurement experience in the foodservice sector, Nick has been responsible for creating and driving full group procurement and category strategies, whilst successfully leading teams of buyers to engage and implement them.


A recent member of the Board of Directors for the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF), and the Federation of Wholesalers and Distributors (FWD), Nick has extensive networking resources across the sector, both at home and abroad.


Previously, Nick has held other senior procurement roles in the food industry and has always been actively engaged in the buying process, even when in senior management roles.

Recognised as one of the industry's leading protein experts, Warren has over 30 years procurement and operational knowledge, having managed both factories, and buying teams, for leading national and global foodservice organisations. 


His exceptional skill set in the protein sector is unique, with extensive and well-respected network resources spanning the globe.

Warren's most recent role has seen him align global and regional category strategies on protein procurement for an international foodservice organisation, with a purchase value in excess of £2 billion. 


Prior to this Warren was an integral leader in the re-emergence of a key UK retailer, with growth in sales and profitability of over 40% in protein categories. That followed a period of implementing core international products and best practices across Europe for a major Cash & Carry business, whilst overseeing growth in sales of 64% in protein categories.
